In a perfect world, we’d all feel connected, yet also be able to feel and know that we are separate individuals with separate, individual feelings, beliefs, gifts, opinions and beliefs. But… it’s not quite a perfect world. Things get messy. We get confused and think what others are feeling is what WE are feeling. We FEEL what others are feeling and don’t know if it’s us or them, or a little of both. Then we feel icky inside and lash out at others because we don’t know that our confusion is inside of us. We look to the outside when we might be looking to the inside. I developed a really cool meditation to help us all figure out the energetic differences in our bodies. I call it “just me” and “show me the whole boat.” I use this analogy because we’re all ‘traveling’ on our life’s journeys on the spiritual Waters of the Ocean of the All. Some situations affect everyone on the boat, like weather. So at certain times, most everybody’s going to experience certain things (like fatigue, headaches, insomnia, restlessness, etc. - ascension symptoms, remember?), but also while we’re all on the boat we’re going to be experiencing different things. My schedule’s different from yours, so we’ll be going through different things, learning different things, seeing different things.
But if we don’t have that language, we’re sort of just like drifting along in this boat without any kind of schedule or plan or understanding, wondering why we’re wet (it’s raining!), or sick (the waves are high). If we can understand the subtle energy differences between what WE’RE going through individually and what we may ALL be going through collectively, we can feel a little more in control of our lives, or at least feel that we’re moving toward self-understanding and mastery. We can add another tool to our toolbox. So here goes: with your eyes closed, get comfortable and take some deep breaths. Just enjoy sitting where you are, listening to what’s around you, feeling what you’re feeling. Notice how you feel when you’re here, in your body. This is the “just me” energy state. You are intending to feel that 100% YOU feeling, so pay attention to what’s going on. Are you feeling sore, tired, stiff, restless, scared, peaceful, happy, light? Just notice it all. No judgments. Now say, “show me the boat.” (or whatever feels appropriate to wanting to experience the collective energy of all people) Now tune in to how your body feels, if there’s any difference. You may notice you feel either lighter or heavier, more peaceful or more fearful. Again, no judgments - just notice any differences. This will be YOUR education into how your body reacts to different energies, and gives you a little more understanding and mastery into manipulating those energies. If you can differentiate the feelings you can CHOOSE to connect with others or CHOOSE to stay in your own energy field. The important thing is that YOU get to decide - it just doesn’t randomly happen TO you. THAT’S the great thing. Otherwise it just gets too confusing and muddled, not knowing what’s what. It’s like a bunch of people going to a picnic and everybody brings a cooler of food and dishes. Everybody sits down and all of the stuff gets mixed together. What’s what and whose plate is that? Nobody knows because nobody really knows what’s theirs in the first place. This exercise gets you acquainted with your ‘cooler’ and what’s in it, so that when you mix with others you can still pick out what belongs to you, and what belongs to someone else.
It’s just a thought, but it seems to me that we’re being called more and more into our mastery of our lives and our energies, and the longer we remain ignorant, the more painful our experiences are going to keep getting. And from what I’ve personally experienced, YIKES - I don’t WANT any more painful miscommunications based on misperceptions. So I, for one, am going to keep working on energy differentiations and what the possibilities are. If it sounds like a good idea, come and join me in the magical world of energy! I’m sure there’s a lot more left to discover - I’m just learning as I go, which is the best any of us can hope for, I think.
