when all else fails, drift!

The sun is shining full on the chair in the front room. Classical music plays softly on the Bose. The house is quiet. Meesha lays quietly beside me as I settle into the chair. I take a few deep breaths and enter fully into my body. I notice my heart beating slightly in my lower right jaw where I’d gotten the implant 48 hours ago, then I move on. My head hurts. I notice my head hurting then move on. I stretch my legs and flex my quad muscles. I roll my head in a slow circle and hear it crack. I lift my shoulders up slightly then let them drop. It feels so good I do it again. I take another deep breath. I lean my head back against the chair and close my head. Meesha sighs. I sigh.
