WOW and Message from Spirit - October 18, 2010

WOW:Expandable/expendable. Interesting that I got TWO words, closely intertwined save for one vowel, but with prefix and suffix the same, meaning “able to go out”, which fits for this week. Expand means to spread or open up, and expandable means to feel generous or optimistic. Expend comes from the word meaning to spin (!), and also to spend. Expendable means more economically replaced than salvaged.

This week is all about expanding, but first we need to expend. That is, we are being called to replace those parts of ourselves that are expendable. I’m seeing an old-fashioned bellows that used to sit by fireplaces. When you open the handles it lets the air in. When you push the handles together, the air stokes the fire. In my picture, the air is the expansion as the bellows (us) gets bigger, but when we push the air out, we are also actually releasing all of the unwanted from our life, as I see what looks like smoke or dirt particles in that air that’s released from the bellows.

Try focusing on your breath this week. When you inhale, imagine breathing in all of the golden goodness of love and power and support. When you exhale, imagine that all of your ‘garbage’ is carried away on your breath.

Message from Spirit: What a difference a week makes! We trust that you can feel some settling within your body, life, and soul. With the settling comes the fatigue, so watch for extreme tiredness. The dizziness that so many have felt has also come to a head (Susie’s note: hah!), and should be subsiding in the coming weeks, as well. There now may be throat and sinus issues, as you work to release yourself from any bonds or constraints of self-expression. The more sore you feel your throat, the stronger the message that there is most likely something you need to say. Examine that. Is it true? If so, is there a way that you can be brave and say what you need to say? If not, can you solicit a friend to be your support, your rock, your anchor, so that you know that you are not alone? For that is what we are feeling this week, as well – it’s as if we’re looking around us as newborns, first knowing that we’re connected, then feeling disconnected (for these past 9 months), and now realizing once again that we ARE connected. We are coming full circle, and just as the 9 months suggests, we are being born again, into the New.

Again, as always, rest as much as possible. Never underestimate the incredible amount of work that goes into this making of the New. The child in utero rests all of the time, does it not, while it is growing? The same is being asked of you right now. If you are not already lightening your schedule, you may find it increasingly difficult to continue at your current breakneck pace. Isn’t that an awful word? “Breakneck”? As if you are moving so fast it could actually break your neck, but we think that is most likely what it FEELS like, so trust your body to give you the messages about its needs, then please try to follow your body’s gentle guidance. It is doing so much for you – doesn’t it deserve your tender care?

Take the time to feel your new expansiveness. Take the time to state things you are grateful for in your life. Take the time to notice all of the really good things you have. Focus on the New, and what IS, not on what is difficult, what you miss, what is ‘wrong’. Like creates like. New creates more New, and that is what you are moving toward. You can make the process easier by working WITH your body’s natural rhythms. As often as possible, drop the judgments and expectations, and just say, “This is what IS right now…” then walk on into the Light. Be well, and again know that you are supported every step of the way. It could be no other way, for we are all connected in Love and in the One. As it is – Namaste.
