This recipe is easy and good for you. Maybe just remember to take your Beano before you eat some… This recipe comes from the Moosewood Cookbook by Molly Katzen. Almost everything in her cookbooks is tasty and healthy.

Yum yum yum - healthy and fast!
So yummalicious! Found this in a recent Parade magazine. Some of the best recipes I’ve ever had have come from our local newspaper and Parade, so don’t be afraid to experiment. I keep a big file of untried recipes, that, once tried, if good, get switched to my permanent cookbook.
I added shrimpies to it, and used leeks instead of shallots - it was unbelievably yummalicious. M&M, you’re a culinary genius…
I tasted this soup onboard the SeaBird on our recent cruise to Alaska. It was amazing!!! After much begging, the chef generously gave me the recipe (although it serves 70!!!). We’ll try to cut that down at a later time, but I wanted to present the recipe as it was given me, then we can go from there, okay? Or maybe just wait until you have a HUGE party.
This is one of our summer staples, so-named for the year of my birth - so, so tasty!! It usually doesn’t make it whole to the table, but gets ‘sampled’ with spoons - no double-dipping, please! We have three HUGE rhubarb plants at our house, so we have a lot of rhubarb - we also make an unbelievable rhubarb bread (but that’s another story for another day...)
This was originally a ‘real’ recipe I found somewhere, but I’ve tweaked it so many times, there’s not much left of the original recipe (remind me to tell you the story of Dad’s Lumberjack Hamburgers sometime). SO SO easy and good on a warm summer evening
There’s nothing like some good hummus that’s also healthy for you. Try it smeared on sammies instead of mayo. This is another gem (altered a bit) from “Everyday Cooking with Dean Ornish,” a great book with even greater recipes in it.
This is an adaption from one of my vegetarian cookbooks. I use whatever vegetables I have on hand, and experiment from time to time. The trick is to cook them long enough so they’re tender, but not so long that they disintegrate. The onions give this dish a special sweetness, and I pour on the garlic because I love it so much. Alter as desired. You can totally get your 15 servings of vegetables a day if you make this.
I asked sister Marietta for a good pie recipe. She gave me this one, then told me she had gotten it from me a few years back - go figure!!!
Ooooh, the smell of this cooking is something to be experienced at least once in this lifetime. Healthy, quick, and oh so yummalicious…
This is another of Dr. Gott’s amazing recipes, cooked for Mom when she got out of the hospital in April of 2007. If you can’t find spicy turkey sausages, the regular kind are just as saucy!
This looks gourmet, cooks up easily, and is amazing for a brunch or special dinner.
Oh my oh my oh my…
This is another of my yummy recipes that’s easy, good for you AND absolutely, stunningly delicious. Bill asks for it all the time. I bought an industrial-sized tin of saffron from Tochi’s so I’d always have enough to make this.
I first made this recipe over 17 years ago when my best friend was pregnant and we had it for her baby shower. It’s fast, easy, but oh, so tasty! You can buy whole wheat couscous now, for a healthier (yet still tasty) alternative.
This recipe comes from Pam Girard’s cookbook, “If It Tastes Good, Who Cares?” that I edited and published for her in the early 90’s.
This is a simple, touch spicy, and tasty way to get your veggies!
I googled recipes for apple pancakes, and this one from “Gourmet” magazine popped up. I tweaked it a little, and was pleased to say that for the first time EVER eating apple pancakes, it certainly WAS heavenly!
This one is easy, with simple ingredients, and tastes unbelievable - melt on your tongue, right to your hips kind of good eating!
A tasty and spicy stew great for a windy fall day.
